Planning of Thriller Introduction

First draft of "The Stigma"/"The Incubus" introduction:

A mysterious man is seen driving a car through an empty country lane at dusk, heading towards a big town. His eyes look bland and dull, yet menacing. A kind of emptiness filled with madness. A high pitched noise gets louder during this shot, mirroring what the man may be hearing in his head.
A man suddenly wakes up in his bed, he sits up, looks around and breathes a sigh of relief. It seems as if he was dreaming about the mysterious man. He is then seen opening his fridge and looking inside. You see before he opens it that the front door is shut. The fridge door opens and blocks the view of the door. When it is closed you see the door is open, and the man turns to see it. He walks to the door and looks outside, no one is there, but the high pitched noise is heard again. He turns round, the audience expect him to be confronted by something, but however he walks in to the living room.

He turns on the lamp and sits down to watch TV. He watches it for a while, but the program turns off, and static appears on the screen. He tries to click the remote to change the channel but it doesn't work. Suddenly he hears a knock on the window behind the curtains. It is a slow knock and makes him turn with fright. He pulls back the curtains quickly to reveal nothing. As he is looking out of the window, a wimpering noise comes from behind the sofa that is behind him. He turns slowly. He walks towards the sofa, peers behind it, and his eyes widen in horror.

I think this would be quite a successful thriller opening as it includes mystery, suspense and tension which are key to the genre. However, I feel that i may need to shorten the introduction quite a lot as i may struggle to fit all this in to 2 minutes.
